ABOUT
Sam Daniel is an independent recording artist, songwriter, producer, worship leader, and speaker. Sam is a husband to Naomi Daniel, who is also a singer/songwriter. Together, along with their beautiful daughters Everlyn and Imara, they are currently located in London, UK. They serve on the leadership team at City of Lights Church, where Sam oversees the worship ministry. As of 2015, Sam has been faithfully ministering around the nations through his gift in leading spontaneous & prophetic worship in which many have encountered the presence of God. His heart is for all to intimately experience and know Jesus personally.
Being a culture shifter, the music he creates brings those of different tribes and tongues together as an act of unity, which is reflected within his sound. He is the founder of Revival Sounds, a production company that produces high quality music and resources for the music industry, as well as raising up artists and musicians to become world changers. Together, Sam and Naomi visit churches, schools, universities, prisons, and conferences where they lead worship, train worship teams, share their testimonies of faith and disciple young people.
Sam has been involved in the music industry for over 15 years. He began to create compositions, write lyrics and rap from the age of 11. Self-taught, Sam started to play various musical instruments, being the most proficient as a keys player, and then developed into a worship leader and musical director at his local church. Sam went on to lead worship all over Europe, and at events such as “Renewal” (led by Noel Robinson, of Integrity Music) and “The Gathering” (which also featured Bethel Music and Housefires). Sam has co-ministered with various speakers such as Eric Gilmour, Dr Sharon Stone, Tomi Arayomi, and Heidi Baker. Previously, Sam released a Single “Who Is Like You (None Can Compare)” that featured worship leader Jaye Thomas. This track had reached the top of the Christian Charts in the United States.
Since 2008, Sam has been mixing, mastering and producing singles and albums - as well as radio and TV adverts. His sound comes from an influence of hip hop, afrobeats, contemporary Christian music, gospel, pop, film score, and Indian classical music. During his career, he has worked as a session keys player for various billboard artists, as well as playing and singing in live album recordings, and producing for independent artists and bands across Europe and South Asia. During this period, Sam had an encounter that led him to turn his life around, from drug addiction and organised crime, to follow Jesus. His music slowly started to model his decision, and he began to create music to reach those that could not be reached by “Church Music”.
However, it wasn’t until the release of "Yeshuve (Bhangra Remix)", under his former stage name ‘Da Sargeant`, that his music started gathering widespread interest with the track featuring six different languages (Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi, Telegu and English); and reaching the top of the iTunes Chart, with Sam being the first Asian Christian Artist to reach the top 10 of the iTunes Charts worldwide.
In the following years, Sam’s music began to circulate, and he had the opportunity to play in various countries such as Canada, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Romania, Sri Lanka and India. In 2015, Sam went on his first major tour of the UK, visiting over 30 cities as both a rapper and a worship leader.
From there on, Sam released his debut album “Love & Grace” which was featured on the MOBO Awards website. Many of the tracks released on this album had been written almost a decade prior to release. Sam had already embraced the idea of different languages on the album but decided to expand his vision by introducing a wide array of fusion genres within its 10 tracks, including contemporary worship and gospel, afrobeats with flavours of RnB, pop, classical, carnatic music and even heavy metal.
In 2019, Sam went on to release his first live album, “Homecoming (Live)”, which features covers of well-known praise and worship songs, and captures the special spontaneous moments which happened during that night. Thereafter, Sam went back to his rap roots when he released “Ithu Thaan Aarambam”, featuring twelve different Tamil artists from eight nations, in a prophetic act of unity.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Sam released a series of soaking medley’s, instrumentals and worship moments to encourage people during the time of isolation, whilst producing a number of songs for other artists. Following that, He went on to release three projects; his second live album “Homecoming (Live) II”, which features a mix of well-known worship songs and spontaneous moments, a Tamil Afrobeat-Pop track ‘’Thattu Thadumaari’’ that gained a lot of attention on TikTok, and more recently an Electronic Pop/Dance track "Found In You". Sam’s ability to bring people together using music is truly a God-given gift. The songs he releases have the ability to break down barriers, not only between genres of music, but also between different cultures as well.

Sam has a heart to see people of all nations - both young and old - set free, changed, discipled and become lovers of Jesus.
